We read the poem 'In Flanders Field', which was written during the First World War by Canadian physician and Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae. This beautiful poem inspired us to look at images of the red poppies this poem describes. After looking through numerous images and reading lots of stories about the poppy we decided we would like to have a go at painting our own red poppies. Here is a selection of completed poppies.
Room six are a amazing bunch of learners who enjoy challenges and celebrating our successes during our learning journey. We are a class of year 3 and 4 children in Cambridge, New Zealand. This is a place where we can share our work with others. It lets our aunties, uncles, grandparents, parents and friends see some of the work we have done at school.
