Room six are a amazing bunch of learners who enjoy challenges and celebrating our successes during our learning journey. We are a class of year 3 and 4 children in Cambridge, New Zealand. This is a place where we can share our work with others. It lets our aunties, uncles, grandparents, parents and friends see some of the work we have done at school. This map is not only very detailed but shows a really good understanding of many aspects of the lake. Having a good cover of native marginal (edge) vegetation on a peat lake means that the nutrients can be filtered out of the water from the catchment before it reaches the lake. Our native sedges and rushes are good at growing along the edge and then the shrubs and trees can be planted further up on slightly drier ground.
