Room six are a amazing bunch of learners who enjoy challenges and celebrating our successes during our learning journey. We are a class of year 3 and 4 children in Cambridge, New Zealand. This is a place where we can share our work with others. It lets our aunties, uncles, grandparents, parents and friends see some of the work we have done at school. This is a great way to represent the inter-relatedness of things within the wetland ecosystem. You might want to consider how you (people) are part of this ecosystem. How do people value wetlands (pluses, minuses and maybe the odd interesting aspect). Look at it from a range of aspects and maybe even from an eels perspective or a kahikatea trees perspective. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks Robyn! We have been very busy today drawing our maps of Lake Serpentine, we all identified the parts easily that we really enjoyed exploring - like the large forest. We are excited about writing stories from the perspective of the dragon flies and eels. We have also been discussing why wetlands are important to people and found out that it is more than the animals home but people use the area for fun activities and the early Maori used it a lot for many different things. Like the flax to make skirts, and the fish from the lakes for food.
